Dr. Maria Rosario Vergeire is currently the Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Deputy Director-General for Regulatory Operation of the Food and Drug Administration of the Department of Health. She was also Chief of the Health Research Division Health Policy Development and Planning Bureau of the same department. Her publications include Health Promotions and Non-Communicable Diseases in the Philippines: Current Status and Priority Policy Interventions and Actions. Dr . Vergeire is a doctor of medicine with a master’s degree in public health.
